Caciocavallo and Provolone
Having a strong connection to the earth and traditions doesn’t mean avoiding change, but instead putting this connection at the centre of our choices, as a foundation and a guide for orientating ourselves through the transformations required to progress and keep up with the future.
Our Piaceri Italiani Caciocavallo Silano DOP and Provolone DOP are products that follow this principle, best representing the values of a cheesemaking art with an ancient history that also knows how to look to the future.
From the Po Valley to Sila, a journey through taste
Piaceri Italiani traverses Italy from north to south so that you can travel through your tastebuds, experiencing stories with special flavours and discovering diverse regional specialities, all united by authenticity, superior quality and absolute respect for the territory they come from.
From the Po Valley and the heart of the Sila Plateau come our Piaceri Italiani Provolone and Caciocavallo Silano, respectively, produced with milk from selected farms located exclusively in the territories indicated by the DOP Regulations, using methods that perfectly combine state-of-the-art technology with the artisan skill of Master Cheesemakers.
Piaceri Italiani Caciocavallo and Provolone, a source of goodness
Two semi-hard, stretched-curd cheeses, unmistakable in their appearance and taste. Our Piaceri Italiani Caciocavallo Silano DOP, with its characteristic teardrop shape and pronounced straw yellow colour, has a soft texture and an aromatic, delicate flavour that acquires strength as it matures. Our Piaceri Italiani Provolone DOP, mild or strong, is a cheese made with raw milk, with a soft, appealing texture. Its characteristics make it nutritious, rich in calcium and phosphorus, and an excellence source of energy without being high in calories.
A special touch in the kitchen
Let yourself be guided by your imagination and serve two masters of versatility at the table. Try our Caciocavallo Silano DOP as it is, paired with a full-bodied red wine, grilled, or used as part of a pasta or rice dish; enjoy our Piaceri Italiani Provolone DOP on its own, in a salad, in rolls or on focaccias, or use it to make pies, pasta dishes, frittatas, or as a pizza topping for a perfect combination.
